Highlanders have unveiled their new head coach Erol Akbay at their clubhouse this afternoon.
Akbay arrived in the country today after finally receiving his work permit last week. According to Highlanders CEO Ndumiso Gumede Akbay signed a two year performance based contract and he is going to be assisted by technical director Cosmas Zulu and Amini Soma Phiri.
The Dutchman has been tasked with bringing back the glory to Bosso who coincidently celebrate 90 years this year.
According to his CV Akbay has had coaching experience in lower Dutch leagues in particular the second division and has worked more as a developmental coach working with juniors.
Before flying out to Bulawayo Akbay had brief stop in Johannesburg where he was welcomed by the Highlanders SA chapter (in picture).
