A last minute Danny Welbeck goal gave Arsenal a 2-1 win over EPL log leaders Leicester this afternoon at the Emirates Stadium.
The win that boosts the Gunners title challenge reduces Leicester gap at the top to just two points.
Arsenal had more possession in the first half but it was Leicester who took the lead just before the halftime break when Monreal brought down Jamie Vardy. Vardy made no mistake converting from the spot to put Leicester in front.
Arsenal got a great chance to go level just after the break when Ramsey struck his shot wide after a rebound.
In the 54th minute Leicester were reduced to ten men when Danny Simpson received a second yellow after a later lunge from Giroud.
With Arsenal having the extra man they pressed and eventually second half substitute Theo Walcott scored after a knocked down ball from Giorud.
Leicester left Vardy only upfront as they continued to soak in the pressure and defend resolutely with Arsenal attacking
In the last minute of extra time the Gunners struck the winner with Welbeck heading in from a Mesut Ozil free-kick after a foul just outside the box.
