ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa has wished Zimbabwe’s representatives in CAF Competitions Chicken Inn and Harare City the very best in their weekend assignments.
Harare City take on Madagascar giants AS Adema at Rufaro Stadium on Saturday while Chicken Inn come up against inform Mamelodi Sundowns at Barbourfields on the same day.
“We would like to wish our clubs, Chicken Inn and Harare City well as they embark in their CAF Champions league and CAF Confederation cup journey respectively,” Dr Chiyangwa told the Association’s official website www.zifa.org.zw.
“As ZIFA we are very optimistic that our local clubs will scale this initial hurdle and emerge triumphant in their respective competitions.
“We have full confidence that Chicken Inn and Harare City will display impressive performance, fly our flag high in the continental pedestal and undoubtedly defend our national sovereignty and pride.
“On behalf of the ZIFA Executive Committee, the ZIFA assembly, the entire football loving community of Zimbabwe and on my own behalf, I extend my best wishes to Chicken inn and Harare City in their African safari. Go and conquer.
Both teams are making their debuts in the CAF club competitions and will be hoping to give a good account of themselves and proceed to the next stage.
