German football giants, Bayern Munich have announced that present manager, Pep Guardiola whose future has been in the news for some days will be leaving the club at the end of this season and will be replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.
The three-year contract of Pep Guardiola, who secured two Bundesliga titles in his first two seasons in Munich, will officially expire this summer and former Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti , that was sacked by the Spanish club in May having won the La-Decima in the previous season will sign a three-year contract to take over Bayern this summer.
The news was confirmed by Bayern chief executive, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge earlier today during an interview with Bild newspaper.
“We are thankful to Guardiola for all he gave our club and hope to celebrate more success in the current season,” he stated “With Ancelotti we have another very successful coach coming to Bayern. We are looking forward to working together.”
Ancelotti in return stated that it was an honour to be part of the club and he had no hesitation in accepting the offer when he was approached by the club. “I honestly wish FC Bayern Munich and my friend Pep Guardiola the best for the current season.” he added
