Man Utd goalkeeper Victor Valdes was snubbed again by the club and now his wife has weighed in to have her say.
Victor Valdes ‘ wife has slammed Manchester United for not inviting her husband to the club’s annual United 4 UNICEF gala dinner at Old Trafford.
Outcast Valdes was conspicuous by his absence at the glittering event on Sunday night and, a week after the Catalan sent a defiant message to Van Gaal , his wife took to Instagram to criticise the club.
“To not invite my husband @vicvaldes1 to be part of the #united4unicef, it’s the last thing you expect from one of the biggest clubs like @manchesterunited,” Yolanda Cardona wrote online, accompanied by a picture of United’s Spanish contingent and their partners at the dinner.
“A Charity event, it’s always a Charity event.”
Marcos Rojo posted a picture of himself, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, David de Gea, Sergio Romero and their partners sat around a table at the dinner.
Valdes is expected to leave United next month after a disastrous year at the club.
The Spaniard, who joined on a free transfer in January, has played just twice under Van Gaal and has not been allowed to train with the first-team since a major falling-out with the Dutchman in pre-season.
