Highlanders chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede revealed at a club’s press conference held yesterday afternoon that they were recently shocked to learn that Dutch coach Elroy Akbay now has a Harare based agent Denford Mutasu as representative.
“We initially thought that our benefactor Tshinga Dube was the pushing Akbay. But we were shocked to learn that one Denford Mutasu is his agent.
It was resolved at our Annual General Meeting that we should desist from dealing with people with agents,”said Gumede.
Asked on when they are going to announce their new gaffer, Gumede said they are slowly but surely agreeing salary terms with the coach.
“We are slowly but surely agreeing on salary and other issues with the man that we had to zero in on him,”said Gumede.
Meanwhile, nine Bosso players are set to run out contracts on 31 December.
“About nine of our of players will be out of contract come December 31. We since assigned our current technical staff to assess the players for the 2016 season,” he said.
