Highlanders striker Knox Mutizwa has decided to extend his stay at the club for another year.
Mutizwa has been by far the best player for Highlanders despite the club struggling for most of the season.
Mutizwa also currently leads the goalscoring charts with an impressive 14 goals with two games to go till the end of the season and one of the potential Soccer Stars of the Year.
With his contract expiring next month there was concern that Highlanders could lose the player for free.
However Highlanders CEO Ndumiso Gumede announced the player had been tied down for another year.
“I can confirm that Knox Mutizwa who after a long speculation on whether he would stay at the club or not has decided to stay at the club for another year.
“We are privileged to retain this asset and are hoping he will feature prominently in the Soccer Stars of the Year awards and win the top goal scorers award added Gumede.
