The name of Mike Dean quickly trended on Twitter after he appeared to celebrate a goal for Tottenham Hotspur during their Premier League game against Aston Villa on Monday.

Dean initially waved an advantage and When Moussa Dembele scored the opener after three minutes, he ran and pointed to the centre circle three times to signal a goal but his manner of doing so sparked numerous social media jokes and brought back memories of another bizarre reaction in a match also involving Tottenham in 2012.

Back then, French striker Louis Saha scored against Arsenal and Dean reacted by jumping three times.
