There were two Castle Lager Premiership matches this afternoon as Week 26 continued.ZPC Kariba hammered Dongo Sawmills 4-1 at Vengere Stadium while Hwange edged Buffaloes 1-0.
ZPC Kariba continued to move clear of the relegation zone after a brace by Rusell Madamombe while Tawanda Nyamwande and Sylvester Appiah weighed in with the other goals that gave them a convincing win over Division One bound Dongo.
Dongo Sawmills scored a consolation through Physwell Madhazi.
ZPC Kariba are now in 9th spot with 33 points with four games to go while Dongo Sawmills anchor the league with 18 points.
At Sakubva Stadium relegation threatened Buffaloes suffered a setback after going down 1-0 to Hwange. Innocent Mucheneka’s 26th goal gave Hwange all three points.
The loss means Buffaloes stay below Tsholotsho as they have an inferior goal difference.
The two teams are tied on 26 points with Buffaloes in 13th position while Tsholotsho is in 12th position.
