Border Strikers have clinched the Central Region Division One title and gained promotion to the top flight.
The Beitbridge based side became the third team to be promoted into the premiership after Sable Chemicals failed to turn up at Dulibadzimu Stadium at the weekend.
Border Strikers were awarded the match on a three nil score line to take an unassailable lead at the summit of the log standings.
“Vavheneki” as the border town outfit is affectionately known has 60 points from 27 games and with three round of matches to go, second placed Tongogara who have 48 points can only end the season with 57 points if they are to win their remaining games.
Border Strikers join Ngezi Platinum and Bulawayo City who won the Northern and Southern Region championship.
