FC Platinum maintained pressure on log leaders Chicken Inn with a comfortable 3-0 win over struggling WhaWha at Mandava.
Obrey Chirwa scored a brace while Elvis Moyo weighed in with the other.
Chirwa opened the scoring nine minutes into the match when he dispossessed goalkeeper Stanley Chakwana who failed to deal decisively with a backpass from Nigel Gandari.
Moyo increased the lead twelve minutes after halftime, beating Chakwana on the near post with a low free kick from just outside the box. Chirwa then sealed the match nine minutes from time, after beautiful exchanges with Brian Muzondiwa.
WhaWha battled with their match ending the first half without a shot on target. The visitors only showed some flashes early in the second half but were not patient as they hurried their shots from range.
The victory left Platinum four points behind leaders Chicken Inn while WhaWha remain in the relegation zone in 14th place.
