The Sport and Recreation Commission (SRC) has concluded its audit on the income and expenditure account of ZIFA for the AFCON qualifier between Zimbabwe and Guinea.
ZIFA announced a loss of $12000 for the match which was welly attended, a figure hugely disagreed by several media houses.
Several irregularities where noted chief among them the exclusion of Walter Magaya’s donation from the income generated. Zifa went on to say they paid Warriors allowances but it was common knowledge that Walter Magaya of PHD Ministries paid the money.
Another irregularity was noted on ZIFA saying they Hired buses for $3000 but Herentals group of Colleges insists they donated their vehicles to ZIFA and they were not paid a single cent for the services.
The findings of the SRC will be submitted to the newly appointed Sports Minister Makhosini Hlongwane who is expected to issue a statement there after.
