Caps United have announced changes to their technical team following an emergency meeting last night.
The meeting was held after the team’s’ slump in form in recent months. Lloyd Chitembwe has been appointed the new head coach.
The Green Machine have demoted Mark Mathe to the assistant coach position while appointing Lloyd Chitembwe as head coach. The announcements were made at a press conference held at East24 this morning.
Mathe took over from head coach Mark Harrison who left to join Botswana side Township Rollers. Despite the renewed stability brought about by Farai Jere taking over as majority shareholder results have not been forthcoming
Brenna Msiska was also retained. Tostao Kwashi remains at the club as an assistant coach.
Chitembwe a club legend has held coaching posts at the club in the past and has been tasked by the executive to achieve a top 4 finish come end of season. Caps United currently occupy 7th spot with 30 points from 21 games.
