Dynamos did not travel this afternoon to the DRC for their Caf Champions League game with AS Vita .
Chairman, Kenny Mubaiwa, revealed that they were
forced to postpone their afternoon flight to DRC, after it had emerged that Ethiopian Airways cancelled their Monday flight. DeMbare , who are set to play DRC’s AS Vita in a Caf Champions League second this weekend, were scheduled to return home using one of Ethiopian’s Airways Monday flights.
Mubaiwa told Soccer24 “Yes the boys were supposed to fly out this afternoon but after it emerged that Ethiopian Airways has cancelled its Monday flights we resorted to use Kenyan Airways.
We were initially arranged to use the Ethiopian Airways for our return,” said Mubaiwa.
“The team will now fly out at 2am using Kenyan Airways all is under control,” added Mubaiwa.
In the reverse fixture, Dynamos escaped possible Caf Champions League first leg humiliation by visiting Congolese giants AS Vita by settling for a 0-0 draw in Harare on Saturday.
Their preparations for the second leg were disrupted by players’ protests over unpaid bonuses.
