New Celtic signing Kundai Benyu (19) has opened up on his desire to play for the Zimbabwe national team.
Benyu completed his move to the Scottish giants from from Ipswich Town during the week by signing a four year deal and admitted in a wind ranging interview with his new club that he was keen to represent the Warriors.
The box to box midfielder was born in England but is eligible to play for the Warriors through his Zimbabwean born parents.
“I see my international future going towards Zimbabwe ,with my family being from there ,it would make everyone proud , I just want to make everyone proud he told Celtic TV.
Benyu received his first senior national team call up for the AFCON qualifier against Liberia but did not join the rest of the squad.
