Harare City striker Francesco Zekumbawire is closing to sealing a deal with with Tanzanian side Azam FC as Zimbabwean players continue to move to the east African nation.
Zekumbawire left for trials last week and impressed the Azam technical team with the club notifying Harare City they are keen to sign him.
Speaking to Soccer24 Harare City’s media liaison officer Hope Chizuzu said, “Azam have told us they want him and all that is left is to agree on the valuation of the player. Once we have agreed on that he will join them.
Zekumbawire will join Highlanders midfielder Bruce Kangwa at the club if he completes his move.
The ZPSL is proving to be a good hunting ground for Tanzanian clubs especially after the exploits of former FC Platinum pair of Donald Ngoma and Thabani Kamusoko for Young African Sports Club (Yanga).
Method Mwanjali recently joined Simba SC linked up with former Dynamos players Justice Majabvi at the club ,while Obrey Chirwa signed for Yanga.
