Mahachi had earlier indicated a desire to return to Highlanders where he had a loan stint before his move to Sundowns.
But the seemingly frustrated winger has now indicated he actually wants to take a break from football and do something esle
In an interview with the Herald, Mahachi said, “I am quitting football for a while maybe a year or two.
“ I am going back to school to do Technical Graphics ,it happens in football and I don’t know how it happens but I have made my decision.
Mahachi’s decision is likely to be a sad development for local fans after the youngster had showed lots of potential. Mahachi at one stage attracted the interest of French side Monaco after impressing during the CHAN 2014 finals.
The move though never materialised and eventually signed a five year deal with Sundowns.
